Summary: After three weeks of sex, Shawn wants to broach the possibility of dating. His plans are complicated by the arrival of Lassiter’s brother.
Review: I was kind of iffy on the premise of the fic at first, but there were some absolutely fantastic lines from Shawn, Lassiter, and Gus - hilarious and exactly the kind of things you'd hear on the actual show. Lassiter's jealousy is very in-character, and it's interesting to see him with a brother who's his complete opposite in many ways (if you're vehemently opposed to OCs, you might not love this fic; Lassiter's brother Derek is based on "Lassiter's blog entry at the USA network website where he mentions having a brother who surfs" according to the author, but for all intents and purposes he's an original character.)
The only spoiler listed is for an episode from the second season, so don't expect this story to have anything to do with what's actually going on in the series at this point. However, if you want something with great Psych-style one-liners and situations, then this fic is perfect.

Summary: At the age of three-and-twenty, Jane Austen was not a young woman anyone would have supposed destined for a remarkable life. Until she met the peculiar Dr. Smith.
Review: I liked this fic because I think it really stuck to the style of the Tenth Doctor. One of the tags for it on AO3 is "bittersweet," which is the exact feeling that I got when I read it, and a feeling that goes very well with Ten. The simultaneous exuberance, lonliness, and snark of the Doctor was spot-on in Miss Ausen and Dr. Smith, and the way that hannasus wrote his mannersisms and habits really made him come alive in the story.
While I don't know much about Jane Austen (I've only read Pride and Prejudice, myself), I enjoyed how she was represented in the story - curious, intelligent, and bold. Her actions with the Doctor were particularly delightful. This is a great example of a gen fic done well. It's entertaining and emotional without being all about a romantic relationship between the titular characters. It would have made for a wonderful Doctor Who special, in my opinion.

Summary: Sheldon assigns Penny a terrible sci-fi reading assignment... which strangely parallels her relationship with Leonard. She gets hooked, Sheldon gets swine flu and everybody is confused. LULZ, romance and acting careers ensue.
Review: I love this fic for its characters - Sheldon and Penny and even Leonard are spot-on (and Leonard is actually more likable than he is in the show). I love this fic because Penny finds success. But mostly I love this fic for the story-within-a-story, the awesomely trashy sci-fi novel Starship Olisbos. This is exactly the kind of plot that a fandom like this needs and deserves. There's so much potential hilarity involved in that kind of scenario, and this fic lives up to it and more.
I really liked the way this story was laid out - the non-linear way it was told - and the way that the characters don't come to realizations right as the reader does. I suppose what I mean is that the timing and the timeline in the story are done differently (and better) than in a lot of the Big Bang Theory fic that I've read. It's such a unique story, without losing the show's feeling or humor, and I only wish that it was a little longer (and maybe that the fake novel was real, haha).

Summary: "And just what is the plan, Sherlock?" John shouted. "Go to prison? You assaulted a police officer – no court won't convict you." He ran a hand over his face. "What could possibly be worth risking your freedom?"
Review: Acts of terror are happening all over London, and John hasn't seen Sherlock in a few days. This fic is a little darker than your average episode of Sherlock - Moony captures so well the possibility of Sherlock's dark side. John (as well as the reader) is torn between believing the best in Sherlock, and admitting what Sherlock could be capable of. Sherlock's not directly present for much of the fic; you see John's point of view, as is usual in any Sherlock Holmes fandom, but his confusion and worry, as well as his ability to do what's right and deal with difficult situations really comes through in this and makes it a worthwhile read, if you weren't already convinced by the fascinating plot.
I don't want to say too much, lest I spoil the story, but this is a definite must-read for anyone who wants a Sherlock fic that has a plot and tone similar (and similarly well-done) to the television series. There's enough action, crime-solving, and drama for any reader, and the Sherlock/John pairing is a nice bonus too.
