Summary: When their attempts to recreate the super soldier serum failed, Hydra started trying to breed Captain America clones from his genetic samples. Unfortunately, the serum's effects aren't passed down genetically, so instead of an army of tiny Captain Americas, they get a bunch of tow-headed, asthmatic, allergic, immuno-compromised little Steves.
And then the Winter Soldier stumbles across Hydra's failed experiment...
Review: Baby Steve Roger clones and actual realistic PTSD issues, What more could a girl want?
Neery did a great job with this fic. I read the whole thing in a night. Each of the Clones has their own interests, issues, and personalities. Something that is amazing in a fic about a bunch kids, much less a bunch of clones.
I love Bucky in this. He's so in fully rendered and his thought processes are so right for somebody dealing with past imprisonment and brain washing. And to see him deal with raising a bunch of tiny Stevens is just too cute!

Review:
This is a wonderful and tender fic. Reading it I wished for it to never end and still it ends in such a fitting, sweet spot that it’s exactly perfect the way it is.
This is essentially a shipping fic for the Peggy/Angie pairing set in an AU where Peggy was Captain America and is woken from the ice into present day New York and meets Angie Martinelli, aspiring actress, lesbian, working at a diner and developing a big crush on her the suddenly alive again childhood hero.
It’s a nice fic and it explains nicely how a British woman ended up being Captain America - a role that had been meant for Steve Rogers initially. It also does a wonderful job of integrating this into the greater MCU by letting Peggy’s adventures in the present follow some of the stages a woken up Steve Rogers also had to go through. All of that is told from Angie’s POV though, who meets Peggy by accident and watches her react to the new life and times, who is worried about her when she’s fighting the good fight and who ends up being very much infatuated with her, amused by some of her old fashioned ideas and who is on the side also trying to cope with life and her unrequited love.
The fic has some very amusing moment, with Angie putting her foot in her mouth when she tries to be suave, with Tony Stark ending up wearing a gay pride rainbow colored Iron Man suit spraying glitter and Peggy understatedly and charmingly dealing with being thrown into our time. The MCU is only the backdrop though, Angie’s life and her blossoming romance with Peggy is at the center and there are some wonderful call-backs to how the two of them met and got to be friends and roommates in the Agent Carter series. And that's what makes this fic so great and so sweet, with all the domestic moments and the dancing around each other and Angi's thoughts about superhero life.

Review: Max makes such a cute were-creature! The story is nice and straightforward which is in-keeping with the feel of the movie.
It allows us to get to know Max better and it's nice to see him getting a happier ending.
The fic also has an interesting take on lycanthropy. I can't say much more without giving anything away. But this is definitely worth a read if you like modernized Supernatural worlds.

Review: This is not my usual rec, there is graphic rape in this. Read with caution. The main relationship starts out somewhat triggery as well.
I don't usually read or rec anything that is this triggery, but KouriArashi is one of my favorite authors and I enjoy Peter/Stiles and their respective snark so I decided to give the fic a try.
I am very glad I did. Despite their relationship's rocky start. Peter and Stile's manage to put together one of the most mutually respecting relationships that I have read. They push each others boundaries, they make mistakes, they are intentionally mean to each other, but that is what makes their relationship what it is. It is so nice to see amoral people getting a realistic relationship of mutual support. Instead of just two people using each other.
tdlr: Read the warnings, and feel free to skip both chapters 8 and 9 if you want to give the fic a try anyway. The first seven chapters can stand alone.

Summary: The one thing they realized early on, about this relationship they figured out between all three of them, is that there was no way they could live together.
Review: This is just a lovely look at the Audrey/Duke/Nathan relationship examined through the lens of their living spaces, and the living practicalities of a three way relationship outside of the sex. I love that it's dealing with them as three different relationships between two people as well a relationship between three people. The acceptance in general here that people need space, even people who love each other, and particularly accepting Nathan still needing his own space and not having his quieter and less-social tendencies magically 'fixed' by being in a relationship with two more outgoing partners. How the character of the spaces they choose for their own illuminates the characters, and how the ways they collectively choose to spend their time in each defines the relationship(s).
Also, this fic may manage to lay out my ideal Haven future and conclusion to the series. No perfect endings and answers, but a continuation of their adventures while moving and changing at the same time.

Summary:
His mission was supposed to be simple. Find Geoffrey Boothroyd’s son, who had developed a reputation for being quite the fearsome inventor, and convince him to come to MI6 to serve as quartermaster. He was given an address, a description, and a starting salary figure so high that he seriously questioned all his past career decisions. He was assured that Frederick Boothroyd was intelligent, practical, and yes, maybe a little prone to shooting people, but only if they insisted on disturbing his work. Altogether, simple.
James Bond knew better though. They didn’t send him on simple missions.
In which James Bond takes an unusual approach to his latest mission, much to the chagrin of his would-be quartermaster.
Review:
The premise of this fic is an alternate universe where, not only was Q the former Q's son, but he is also quite determined to never work for MI6. M, for whatever reason, sends Bond to convince him otherwise. According to whatever passes for logic in James Bond's mind, this requires moving in with the Boothroyd scion.
And then they proceed to flail haphazardly at each other until they simultaneously tumble down the slippery slope most people have taken to calling 'love'. Never let it be said that I'm not a sucker for James Bond and Q flailing until they're neck-deep in a quagmire of feelings, but imagining Q as Boothroyd's son, vaguely attached but distinctly tangential to MI6, adds a particular depth to Q's character. Rather than the canonical Whishaw!Q who springs forth from mysterious origins, or the fanonical backgrounds built up around him, the connection to Boothroyd adds depth to both this new would-be Q and his predecessor anchored simultaneously in canon and fanon both.

Review:
Curtains is an easy read, which is a more complex proposition than one might think, when you consider the two characters it's written about. Perhaps it's more accurate to say that it's a gentle read, as opposed to easy, swaddling the reader in layers of cozy domesticity and slowly warming romance without glossing over the violence and danger inherent in these two men's lives. There's no conflict in this fic beyond what the world throws at Bond and Q, no arduous strife nor struggle. Just gentle, easy domesticity and two men slowly deepening their relationship from co-workers to friends to lovers.

Author's Summary:
Five years after the apocalypse didn’t happen and Sam and Dean have settled down, or as much as the Winchesters can ever settle down. Sam is a college professor and Dean a well-respected small business owner and they’re learning how to balance work, hunting and dog-ownership while coping with the metaphorical and literal scars of war. Life’s not perfect, not for a (sort of) out and proud couple in small town USA with a lot to hide, but they’re dealing, that is, until Dean employs one sexually-confused teenager who develops an unhealthy obsession with both of them... Switching between five years earlier and now, we learn how the boys came together, how they made it through the big fight and whether they’ll ever manage to find that flighty temptress, happily ever after.
Review:
Full of tension, both dramatic and sexual, this fic really kept my attention. The relationship between Sam and Dean is at its incestuous best here - fucked up and weird and yet intense and compelling. The fact that for half of the fic we're viewing Sam and Dean's relationship through the eyes of a formerly-straight, hair-triggered teenager really adds to that intensity. His inner monologue and his huge crush on Dean are very well written, perfectly portraying the all-encompassing nature of teen infatuation and sucking the reader into his at times awkward and funny longing.
The fic switches between his and Sam's POV as it shows us what happened between Sam and Dean before their current domesticity. Their story is both an interesting character study and a scorching hot sexual journey, as we read about their relationship developing both sexually and romantically, and how it has changed them and those close to them.
This author has also written plenty of other long and well written Supernatural fics - I highly recommend checking them all out if you haven't already.

Summary:
In which Cougar goes home, goes on a road trip, and learns to cook.
Review:
Fair warning, the first chapter of this fic follows the declining health and eventual passing of an original character, Cougar's grandmother. It's not an easy thing to read, but the obvious love between Cougar and his grandmother, the easy, familiar relationship between them, and Cougar's devoted care during his grandmother's final few weeks makes it worth the pain of her passing.
The Losers holds tightly to the theme of families, both found and of blood. In All the Tongues of Men and Angels explores the latter when Cougar takes his slowly dying grandmother back to her father's home in Mexico to live the rest of her days in peace. Well, relative peace, considering that she insists that Cougar learn to cook, starting from the very basics of chopping vegetables and moving up through tortillas made from scratch, until he is cooking of his own volition, emotionally conning his ailing grandmother into eating just a little bit more in spite of her flagging appetite.
When Cougar makes his way back to Jensen, cooking becomes an act of expressing himself in lieu of words. What started out as obeisance to his grandmother becomes a labor of love that Jensen is largely bewildered by, never quite understanding what Cougar is saying without actually saying until Cougar's grief for his grandmother finally cracks him open enough for the words to spill out and for Jensen to finally understand.
Two short and delightfully fluffy epilogues, Unexpected Sweetness and No Home Complete Without a Cat round out the series, and are not to be missed.

Summary:
When NHL star Patrick Kane's off-ice antics finally get him into trouble for the last time, captain and best friend Jonathan Toews has one final trump card to keep him from being traded: marriage...to each other. But between being the first openly gay hockey players, facing down a lockout, and the fact that Patrick has been in love with Jonny for years, will these two ever be able to work past their miscommunication to realize that their marriage may not be as much of a sham as they think it is?
Review:
First things first, a disclaimer: I am very new to hockey fandom. As such, I consider myself utterly unqualified to review the authors' characterization of the people appearing in this fic. I'll be reccing this almost as an original work.
But if you're fine with that, and if you love the fake relationship trope and all that it entails, then Marry Me A Little is the fic for you. It features such timeless classics as 'I've been in love with you since we first met', tooootally platonic sleep cuddling, emotional constipation, 'all our friends/family are surprisingly unsurprised by our relationship', fear of exposing one's unrequited feelings, the angstful suppression of said feelings for the sake of the fake relationship, running hot and cold in the attempt to suppress said feelings, and more communication failure than you can shake a hockey stick at. And let's not forget the dramatic reveal of fully requited feelings and the ensuing Happily Ever After.
But seriously, folks. So much communication failure. So much communication failure that multiple side characters in the fic make a point to tell the two of them to pull their heads out of their asses and actually communicate about important things. In fact, my only serious gripe with the fic is how bafflingly resistant Patrick and Jonny are to calmly talking things out. They go through multiple cycles of conflict and resolution throughout the fic, but with so little genuine discussion going on, the resolutions to their issues feel superficial and incomplete, provided that they're resolved at all.
What makes up for it is the sense that other characters notice and have opinions on the miscommunication roller coaster that is Jonny and Patrick's marriage. bessyboo and thisissirius don't just make the rest of the cast silent or blindly supportive bystanders. The vast majority of the people that appear in this fic have their own observations and opinions on the marriage, and though they're all supportive of the relationship, that doesn't stop some of them from expressing reservations about this or that consequence of the two of them being married and out while still being prominent hockey players. That level of detail and consideration creates a wondrously complex narrative that keeps the fic from becoming hyperfocused on Jonny and Patrick and their respective emotional struggles.
But that attention to detail isn't restricted to the people that appear in the fic. Even various news outlets offer their two cents on the relationship through a series of mock articles. Personally, I doubt that the media would be as kind to the first out and married hockey players in the league as they are in the fic, (which is probably why there's no mock FOX News article), but hey, this is fanfiction. We're only required to abide by reality as much as is necessary for the purposes of the story.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this fic to every hockey RPF fan out there, because obviously YKINMK and I won't assume that everyone is a fan of the fake relationship trope. But if you are, and you've been hesitating to read this because of reasons that may or may not include its prodigious length, then I would definitely say to take the leap. Don't worry, I won't chirp you (much) for taking more than four days to finish it.

Herman is an ass at the beginning of this.It is understandable given the circumstances, but it is still something he has to move passed.
A lot of the stories conflict is following not only Herman's learning how to deal with Newt's changing gender, but with the consequences of his original reaction. What makes this so great is that unlike a lot of fics based on the same premise it doesn't shy away from dealing with the different relationships that two people can have with each other.
