Going through my memories, I've noticed that SGA, which was supposed to be one of the major fandoms of this comm, has fewer recs than Smallville (*Smallville*!) Worse, most of the SGA fics that are recced aren't even epic in length. Unfortunately, the problem seems to lie in the fact that my pool of epic length SGA fics is very small, primarily because folks in SGA don't archive very often (not that I can say anything, as Proposition and Push/Pull *still* aren't archived, *sigh*). What's more frustrating is the fact that I know there are epic length (250K+) SGA stories out there, I just can't find them.
Which is where you come in:)
Things to keep in mind:
-Recced stories can be any length, any fandom, and any pairing, as long as they fit the theme
-You don't need to write a review (unless you want to). All that you need to include are title, author, and link to the story (all parts if there are more than one).
That said, have at it!

For the SGA Big Bang there were 16 stories that all ended up being McShep and all of them (I think) have artwork and in a some cases music vids to go along with the stories. This is an archive for the challenge responses and the artwork for them. http://sgabigbang.talkoncorners.net/?view=artwork
Each story is a seperate response and Epic length. This is the LJ for the SGA Big Bang http://community.livejournal.com/sgabigbang/
""The Stargate: Atlantis Big Bang Challenge began in February of 2007 with 50+ writers, 25 artists and one blinking mod.
There were several story prompts to choose from: Atlantis being cut off from Earth or destroyed, a story set Post S3, or 'forks in the road' where writers had to select a significant moment in canon and see what happened on that path not taken. In order to be as inclusive as possible without completely overwhelming the participants, three (main) pairings were permitted: John/Rodney, Elizabeth/Ronon and Teyla/Elizabeth. All of the 16 stories that were completed are John/Rodney and over 40,000 words in length. We also wanted to be as all-encompassing artistically as possible, so vids, manipulations, drawings and essentially any art form was permitted; we have 39 pieces of artwork in total. All of the stories have at least one art submission, decided on by our talented, hand-picked artists blindly pointing at summaries and going "ooh, that one!"
Over 800,000 words and countless hours were contributed to this challenge. I would like to personally ask that you please be especially generous in your feedback."
Thank you for visiting us. We all sincerely hope you have a blast!

Thanks for the info!
Theory of Evolution by lavvyan- John doesn't turn back after Conversion. I really loved this exploration of how someone who has been well... pretty all of his life, handles staying blue and alien. John has always struck me as a person not unaware of his own attractiveness, but not obsessed with it either, but still in society there has always been advantages to being good looking, and John really has to grow as a person. Also, there's the fact he had a relationship with Rodney, before all of this happened.
Mirror Dance by trinityofone - The gene therapy doesn't work/has side effects in Hide and Seek. "John doesn't like to share." This is a new take on Season 1 & 2, and how a relationship, both working, friendship, & other would build if say there was a stumbling block right after "Hide and Seek". I won't spoil you for what happens, just to say, it takes John a really long time to want to spend time with Rodney due to some personal discomfort.
Every Day in Every Way by velocitygrass - This is a long, slow build of a buddyfuck into a relationship, both of them are clueless about each other's feelings for a long time. It handles John's issues with DADT, straight!Rodney, jealousy, etc. It was almost too slow in a build, but I throughly enjoyed the sex, the angst, and pining!John.
Aegis by springwoof & Leah - The Ancients' genes didn't just confer the power to activate their technology. I left this story alone for a while, because I was never able to get into their previous long contribution "The Body Electric" and because I've never been a fan of powers!fic, but this blew me away. John is just so wonderfully isolated, it plays on the fanon (canon?) aversion to touch, and Rodney's total oblivousness when it comes to someone else's discomfort, he treats John the way he'd treat anyone.
All Falls Down by justbreath80 - I left this story alone too, because I'd never heard of the author, but I loved the prompt- Rodney ascends after the Tao of Rodney, and I was both pleased and entertained by the idea. Rodney can't leave Atlantis alone, even with the universe out there, and John, after his "death" comes to terms with the fact maybe they were more than "just friends" or could have been more. Angsty, but ultimately a happy ending, and an interesting view of grief and regret.
None Can Quite Extinguish by sheafrotherdon : Sateda wasn't culled to extinction. This was plotty, action-packed, full of intrigue and political machinations. I would say unlike my previous recs, this story had McKay/Sheppard has the secondary element of the story.
To wrap this long comment up- I have all my favorite SGA stories tagged in del.ic.ous based on length, plot elements, episode related, character focus if you want to check them out: http://del.icio.us/lambourngb
