Review:
I don't rec (or read) many PWPs, because vast consumption of slash has jaded me when it comes to sex scenes. Every once in a while, however, I'll stumble onto a PWP that makes me go *Guh*. Every God in His Sphere is one of those -- John heads to a bath house in Denver for anonymous sex to sublimate his frustrations from dealing with the SGC. Guess who else shows up. I'm not sure what makes this story so compelling. Perhaps it's the gritty reality of the bath house. Maybe it's just John's tension bleeding off the page. For whatever reason, this is easily the most memorable PWP I've ever read.
Still, this story wouldn't be nearly as good without the second part, in which John confronts Rodney. In an A&W parking lot. Over a melting root beer float. Really, it's just plain perfect!
