Review:
Unless someone has written a fandom-defining classic in the last few months, I think it's safe to say that One Good Man is the best Nick/Greg story in the CSI fandom. Not only is it long and well written, but there is a level of realism to the story that you rarely see in fanfic, much less CSI fanfic. San Francisco is described like the writer has actually been there, homophobia is a fact of life, lab techs *do* make a lot more money than CSIs (which was even pointed out in *canon* and yet every fanfic author seems to think Greg must be living on ramen noodles and barely able to scrape together rent), the path to true love is not smooth, Nick and Greg aren't perfect, and while they try out just about every kind of sex imaginable, they are both gay and they both have a position preference (which are fortunately compatible). And yes, they do fall in love quickly, but then they have been friends for *years*. Toss in some intriguing back story on both characters (Greg has the worst -- and yet most hilarious -- parents *ever*), a really horrifying case (which, frankly, I'm shocked the show hasn't lifted yet), some angsty relationship conflicts, and you've got a fantastic story to add to your reread (over and over again) list.

I don't know if I've jumped in a said how much I love your recs. Not only am I rediscovering some old faves, but definitely indulging in some places I've only skimmed. A few months back I went on a big CSI kick but quite honestly gave up very shortly fairly disappointed with the relative redundancy involved with finding quality fics in the the fandom. I know they exist, it's just finding a reliable source of input outside of skimming every fandom related com./archive of everything until I hit a reliable author who will then hopefully link to others. Sadly it wasn't something I was up for at the time so it's good to see this rec, and can't wait for more from you. In all your fandoms.

Oh, man, you're telling me. There aren't actually going to be a lot of CSI recs simply because the general level of quality in CSI fic is appalling. Every once in a while I get a jones for Nick/Greg and I go fishing, but usually I end up not finding anything at all. Same thing for Monk -- heck, I've only found one story that was *readable*, and it certainly wasn't *recable*.

And I agree on finding a good source of input -- I watch quite a few reccing communities/journals, and none of them quite match my own taste. Lately, I've been finding that I wasn't happy with any of the recs I've been finding. Thus, Epic Recs:)

Glad you're enjoying my posts and thanks for the feedback!
