Review:
When Kathy notices Cosmo, when she notices Cosmo noticing her and Don, when she notices Don noticing Cosmo, she decides it will happen. After all, as her mother says, you must always know something will happen, never just believe.

When I saw this, I will admit to giddiness. After all, this is a really quite long fanfic from one of the best musicals of all time, with probably the best pairing of all time. But then reality set in, and I realized that there was no chance that this would actually be good. Incidentally I was right, it was far better than good.

This feels like a musical itself, full of light and happiness. The description throughout is simply lush, just as lush as your average Technicolor. The jokes are so perfect. Cosmo and Don interact with each other in just the way they ought. The overall feeling of this fic is carefree, which is really refreshing. Usually the fluffy fics tend to be sappy, and this really has none of that. Instead it has this overt joy in every syllable.

On the slightly less fantastic side, the whole story is told in present/back story flashes, which is really fantastic after about the first quarter of the fic which is wholly recaps of the movie. Luckily they’re well done, but still a bit annoying.
