Review:
What if the Federation's JAG department hadn't been so lenient about Julian's situation in the episode "Doctor Bashir, I Presume"? After the discovery of his genetic enhancements, Bashir starts to say goodbye to the life he knows and loves and finally has the courage to confront his feelings for Garak. Meanwhile, the DS9 officers are not prepared to give up so easily and run against time to find a solution that will allow them to keep their beloved Doctor.

Regann’s take on what is one of my favorite Trek episodes is very interesting and, as it has been pointed out, a much more plausible resolution for the genetic enhancements plot. Great characterization all around and a good development of the Garak/Bashir dynamic make this an excellent DS9 fic.

Going Native (part 1) (part 2).

I just love that pairing. How anyone who has seen the show can not see the slash is beyond me. And how there is no huge fandom producing at least ten great fics every day is just wrong.

Garak/Bashir is my favorite Trek pairing. The looks, the touches, the little flirty smiles... There's just so much potential; it's a pity the fandom is not more prolific.

Oh, but there is. ; )
Well, okay, maybe not a huge fandom, but there is one. Still primarily mailing list based though - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/garakbashir/ (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/garakbashir/) is where you'll find tons of fic and discussion, but there's also a comm right here on LJ: http://community.livehournal.com/doctor_tailor/ (http://community.livejournal.com/doctor_tailor/).
Happy reading!
