Review:
After defeating Voldemort, Harry asks Snape to dinner as a thank you for saving his life (again). A week later, Snape issues his own invitation and suddenly, before Harry realizes it, they are dating.

This is very different from your usual post-war fic, which either has Snape being miserable because the Minstry makes him so (from which Harry rescues him) or Snape being miserable because he's just a miserable person (and Harry comes in to give him a few happy moments in his misery). In contrast, Snape in this story decides that after living under the sword of Damocles for twenty years, he's going to take his freedom and have fun with it. Which means good food, high culture, and plenty of sex. With Harry.

I would not be surprised if some folks complain that Snape is out of character in this story, but I disagree. I can easily see someone who has been living with terror his entire adult life siezing the chance to truly live as soon as the opportunity presents itself. Snape has lived a miserable, deprived life for twenty years. Frankly, I'd be shocked if he *didn't* immediately take the opportunity to overindulge.

Even better, Snape is not an utter asshole in his relationship with Harry, which makes me happy. Unlike a lot of fics where Snape and Harry's relationship feels more like hate than love, Merri's interpretation of their relationship feels like two people who actually enjoy spending time together and that alone makes this fic worth a read. If you're looking for something different, this is definitely the fic for you.

... it's kind of a plot point. But no in-story pairings as of yet! It's more gen than anything.
