Wow. Just...wow. I have no idea why I ended up reading this fic, as I generally don't read gen nor do I read DC comic fic, but man am I glad I gave this story a chance. Marag offers up a whole backstory for House that is fabulous and scary and would just explain *so much* about him. You also have elements of personal growth and healing as virtually every member of the bat family sits him down for a talking to (which, of course, spawns some absolutely fabulous House snark). Beautiful, haunting, and wonderful.
