Author’s Summary:
A week after Black Tuesday's telepathic attack on the world, Peter Parker took some pictures for a story on "the mutant problem." Ten years later, he's still taking pictures. The only difference is his definition of "the problem."

Review:
In the same vein of “The Kid’s Aren’t All Right” by M. (which I recced here), “The Mutant Problem” is formatted as if it were a real Op-Ed article for the NY Times, written by none other than Peter Parker. Ten years after the events of the second X-Men movie, Peter writes an editorial to showcase pictures he has taken of different mutants over the years and share a bit of what he has learned about their lives. What follows are over thirty pictures and short texts that show us glimpses of very different people that have one thing in common: their mutations.

Katt’s astonishing attention to detail (which includes headlines for fake news articles set in the Marvel-verse) and brilliant execution make the format incredibly realistic and a joy to behold. Though it’s certainly not a conventional fic, I highly recommend it.
