I've been waiting for Small Fandom week for months just so I could post this particular rec.

Title:
Just A Face On A Train.

Fandom: Spiderman Movie-verse.
Pairing: Gen (mentions Peter/MJ).
Categories: Hurt/Comfort.
Length: Long (~11,100 words).
Warnings: None.

Author on LJ: n/a
Author Website: n/a

Author’s Summary:
"After rescuing a train from Doc Ock's attack, Peter Parker found himself unmasked and indebted to those he had just saved. Four months later, a train passenger again crosses paths with the young hero. Based on events from Spiderman 2."

Review:
Maggie O’Reilly is busy juggling her job as a waitress, her night hours at nursing school, a baby who is teething and a myriad of bills. Yet all of this acquires a new perspective when she recognizes the young college student that enters the dinner where she works as the hero who once saved her life.

What can I say that will do this fic justice? It has everything going for it: an interesting premise, a wonderful narrator (who is one of the best and better developed OC’s I’ve seen), a solid writing style (neither too minimalist, nor too ornate) and a fantastic Peter characterization. This is without a doubt the best Spiderman fic I’ve ever read and one of my favorite fics ever.

Just A Face On A Train.
