Review:
In this fic written before book seven, Harry decides he needs a martial fealty spell to insure that Snape is loyal (what with the whole murdering Dumbledore incident). Unfortunately Harry is an idiot, and manages to say 'marital' rather than 'martial'. Heh. Thus begins one of the best marriage of convenience fic I've ever read, with the very best original character I've ever seen: Mabel, the chatty senile viper that likes to hang out in tea cups and chases her own tail.

Most marriage of convenience fics are wonderfully angsty drama-fests, often with a side of blushing virgin. Not so If This Be Error. Instead, you get a highly irritated Snape, a perpetually horny (and trying to hide it) Harry, a gaggle of Order members who manage to be both horrified and titilated (depending on the member in question). Oh, and a zombie. Come on, how can you go wrong with that? A great fic for those who want their marriage of convenience with a twist.
