Review:
Good OC fics are hard to find. Heck, *any* OC fics are hard to find, seeing as the fandom doesn't even have an archive and most authors classify their OC fic under 'one-shots/miscellaneous'. Still, there are a few gems to be found and they're well worth the effort of digging them up.

These two stories are probably my favorite in this fandom. For one thing, it's not future fic, which I really appreciate because the OC was the best when Ryan and Seth were first getting to know each other (and before Seth turned into the world's most self-absorbed asshole). Also, of all the fandoms I've read with hooker!fic (which is probably all of the fandoms I read, except maybe Due South and that's possibly because I haven't been looking hard enough), this is the one I most believe. It's kind of scary how easy it is to see Ryan as a prostitute; what's even scarier is that that isn't the worst thing that could have happened to him.

In the first story, Ryan comes to one of Kirsten's parties as a 'date' for one of the guests and ends up passing the time by earning some money off of Seth. Of course, first season Seth was adorable beyond words, and so by the second story, Ryan's hoping for something a little less mercenary. Unfortuantely there's a failure to communicate that can't be worked out until after a full night of hot sex.  There really aren't enough stories with that plot, are there? In any event, what's so great about these stories is that they aren't just PWPs. In fact, if anything they are about Ryan's growth (or maybe regression, as he never had a chance to be a kid) and about Seth's unconscious bravery and about the anxiety and elation that comes in starting a new relationship. Sweet and engrossing. Enjoy!
