Author’s Summary: A Victorian era AU where Sentinels and Guides are members of everyday society. Starring Sentinel!Holmes and Guide!Watson.

Review:
Sentinel Sherlock Holmes has finally found his Guide. Unfortunately, where Holmes and Watson are involved, things are never quite that simple.

This is one of those fics that I wish never ended and I don’t say that lightly. Brilliantly clever, it’s more of a fusion than a crossover, with the author taking the general idea of Sentinels and Guides, and weaving it into something uniquely its own. Even with the familiar backdrop of London and Baker Street, I still found myself wanting to know more about this world and its characters, fascinated by the differences and thrilled with the invariables.

This includes Sentinel Holmes and Guide Watson, whose relationship is, quite literally, put in jeopardy from the moment the story begins to (almost) the very end. This, might I add, only adds to the sheer satisfaction the ending brings, even if the ending leaves you wanting to read it all over again. All in all, if you’re a fan of Holmes or just want to see what a Sentinel Holmes would look like, I definitely recommend giving this one a try.

I really loved this one! I read it as a WIP on [livejournal.com profile] holmeswatson09 and it was so hard to wait for the ~monthly updates, especially when there were cliffhangers.

I read this fic not long ago and loved it. I agree it is a wonderful fusion of the two fandoms. Now I'm going to have to go reread it.

This fic is awesome. So rich and detailed it sucked me right in, and made me finish it in one sitting. I don't have the first clue about the fandom, but you know what? It didn't matter. Such a wonderful read
