Review: This series of linked ficlets packs a big emotional wallop, without sacrificing characterization. Anactoria has a wonderfully bare bones style that lends itself well to the short story form she uses in this series.

Each of the ficlets, all around 800 words long, can stand on their own. But together they create a heart-wrenching picture of the apocalypse. Painfully bittersweet and hopeful at the same time this story is worth a read even if you're not familiar with the Watchmen fandom.
