Review:
After the end of the Dominion war Julian comes to realize his place is no longer on DS9 and joins the medical contingent of the devastated Cardassian Northern Continent. While there his friendship with Garak is rekindled through a series of exchanged messages and he finally admits to himself why he feels compelled to stay.

"Letters from the Northern Continent" has everything one has come to expect from The Hoyden's DS9 fics: great writing, perfect characterization and a plot that flows effortlessly. Add to that the world-building that makes post-war Cardassia seem beautifully real and the incredibly satisfying dénouement of Julian and Garak's relationship and you have a wonderful G/B fic.
