Author's Summary: Alice makes a promise that is kept, but at a great cost. Surviving the consequences should have taught her to be more careful with future promises, but how can she refuse the Queen her Champion? Or Tarrant Hightopp his Alice?
Review:
In Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Alice began her journey of self-discovery and possibility. In One Promise Kept, Alice continues that journey.
Beginning almost three years after the end of the film, with Alice leaving on her grand venture into trade in the East and Tarrant holding onto a simple promise made, this series is about more than just Alice. It's about friendship and family, duty and honor, courage and creativity, love and pain. It's about promises to keep and promises kept. It's about everything that a grand and epic adventure should be about.
The characterization, attention to detail, and overall story telling in this series is truly amazing. It's obvious right from the start that the author has made every effort to carve out a nice little niche in Burton's Alice in Wonderland and make their own; throwing out odds and ends that make the fantastic reality of Underland that much more real. Even with book four still currently being posted (regularly), the series is an excellent way to get pulled down the rabbit hole and into the world of Wonderland.

(if you have any other recs for this pairing, please, let me know? Because I'm absolutely hardcore shipping it now, I need to rent the movie and watch it again- I was kind of disappointed when I saw it, actually, but with my new shipper perspective, I'm sure I'll enjoy it a lot more now!)
In conclusion, you rock. *hugglesmooch*

I haven't found any other stories quite this long, but I'll see what I can do about pulling together some recs for you. I'm a big fan on this pairing in any form so it shouldn't be hard. :)
Thank you for taking the time finding the entry!

Also, I blame you for hooking me on it to the point where I have spent hours searching for icons. Sadly, there aren't that many shippy icons- I've found tons of each of them on their own, but not too many together, gah. Ah well, I shall keep looking!
(do you have many het ships? I had a look at your profile and it was mainly slash, so I was like, either you haven't updated in a while or you're mainly focused on slash, in which case I'm lucky you fell for these two and wound up making that rec! I've had Alice on the brain all week, and it is grand!)
I'll be honest and say I haven't updated my profile in...years? I probably should, now that I'm thinking about it, but to answer your question, I have several het ships that I adore. In fact, I ship as many het pairings as I do slash, some from old fandoms and some from new. I should probably start reccing them more...(how about you?)
By the way, did you know there is an Alice In Wonderland Big Bang going on right now? They'll start posting their stories and art in December. I can't wait! :)
And I requested a few icons, which can be found here:

If you like any of them, feel free to use!

I ship mainly het myself. A couple femslash ships, but yeah, mostly het, lol.
