Review:
I’ll start with a big win for the amazing length this fic has. Everytime I ask for Yukito/Touya in an exchange is very rare I win a fic in this fandom, and when I read fics made, they are always uber short. So let’s put our hands in the air and thank this fic exists.

After thanking that, I raise my hand for Yue and Yukito having diverse feelings, being conflicted by it and the tension overpassing their own inner conflict. Yue is living a half life, being stuck with his feelings about Clow, and the richness of details on his feelings is incredible. Yukito on the other hand is trying to figure himself and Touya’s relationship, while sharing his body with someone that cannot let go his ex.

This fic is complete on it’s own, but she has 3 short sequels, or rather stories in the same verse, two of them a very darling to me, specially the one where Yue cuts his hair, but the third one squicked me a bit: it’s a smut driven plot with a 3some between Nadeshiko (Touya’s mom), Fujitaka (Touya’s dad) and Yue. The reason for the squeak and the reason I’m commenting on it, is that there are elements of Nadeshiko/Yue in Take Comfort, so be aware. I was not comfortable with Yukito and Touya having a relationship while Yue had one with Touya’s mother. I like that they are separated beings, but is a bit weird that they share the same body and date both mother and son.

Putting that aside, and you totally can, because I was incredibly happy with the rest of the fic, Yue, Yukito and Touya are full of depth. While Yue is dealing with his sadness, Yukito and Touya are navigating their firsts.

Sakura is confident in her magic, she has hesitance, but she overpowers it and learns how to deal with the problems. It’s also great to see Sakura dealing with having her mother back - I won’t spoil how - and the family dynamics that they set in motion. I don’t dislike Nadeshiko, but I find her a bit wild to my tastes; she makes a lot of sense inside the plot and she truly triumphs and taking Yue out of his shell.

The best chapter for sure is 27, when Yue helps Yukito to seduce Touya! Oh, I was all Sakura on it, fangirling like mad. It’s super adorable and I was happy to see an almost Yue/Yukito/Touya part, even if subtle. Go read and let me know what you think, because I need someone to see the cheers genius of that scene.
