This fic is more serious than the summary would have you believe. It reads like a little vignette taken from a larger story - you're thrown into a strange universe right from the get go, and it's unclear what's happening. The few details we're given about this world are just enough to get a sense of what's going on, and this adds to the intensity and strangeness of the fic. The lovely descriptions, the dreamlike nature of the fic and the little bit of Kuro/Fai all add up to a peculiar and quite beautiful little story.
