The alpha pack was nothing like what Derek expected.

First of all, they had zero interest in fighting Derek for his territory. "I have an infinity pool," Brandon said loftily. "You basically haunt this busted up house and live in an abandoned train car."

"It's easily protected," Derek said defensively.

"From eighty-year-old men with cancer?" Jake said, stretching out on the porch steps. "Admit it, you're a mess."

Review:
This was written during the hiatus before season 3, and drunktuesdays' vision of an affluent and well adjusted alpha pack who breeze in and make things better just cracked me up. It's the antithesis of every bad thing that happens to Derek and in Beacon Hills. Add to that the pack's immediate response to Stiles, and it becomes a hysterical escalating conflict between a pack that all want to put the moves on Stiles, a jealous Derek, and Stiles, who doesn't even notice when he ratchets up the sexual tension by licking frosting off his wrist. Add a werewolf baby into the mix, and the wolves can't take it anymore without someone popping an artery. Which is good; it gives Derek a chance to accidentally confess his feelings.

The alpha pack have the best lines here. drunktuesdays shows us just how tightly wound they are around Stiles. And Anatsuno, who recorded a podfic of this story, does a terrific job with the dialogue as well. If you haven't listened to it, I highly recommend it!
