Faking It by Suz (NC-17)

Due to erratic internet access (and maybe just a touch of burnout) I have to announce that this is going to be my last day as a full-time reccer for Epic Recs. It's been over three years since I first started this comm as a way to share my favorite stories and between my fabulous co-reccers, the always entertaining recs from our readers, and the challenge of the theme weeks, this comm has grown far beyond my greatest expectations. You've all been wonderful, as readers, as lurkers, and as reccers and I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heard for a brilliant run.

That said, this departure doesn't mean you'll never hear from me again -- though I won't be posting on a weekly basis, I will be popping in as internet access permits to post mini-marathons of all of the recs I've written while offline. And, as a bonus, ya'll are about to be inundated with all of my remaining stockpiled recs. Enjoy!

Title: Faking It by Suz
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Clark/Lex
Categories: humor, fluff, drama, virgin (to gay sex)
Length: Long (~20,000 words)
Warnings: n/a

Author on LJ: n/a?
Website: http://sjhw.net/suzvoy/svfic.html

Review:
When Clark gets out of a date by claiming to be gay (oh, Clark), he asks Lex to go on a fake date with him. Which spectacularly blows up in their faces, natch.

This is one great big playing gay fluffball. Clark is endearingly dorky, Lex is devious but also kind of sweet, and all of the early season Smallville regulars except Lana and Whitney get at least a cameo (Chloe is, of course, awesome). Very light and lots of fun.

Oh, wow! I am very sorry to see you go. You have been a joy to read and you've introduced me to a lot of fandoms I wouldn't even have considered w/o your recommendation. I've always smiled when I saw your name in my in-box, knowing what was coming would entertain me.

Thank you for making this list; as a epic addict, it was perfectly what I wanted and didn't know it. Hope you don't disappear from your other list as well. But if you do, please know ... you have made my fandom experience so much richer by knowing you. Thank you, thank you!!!

Thank you! I have to admit that, while a break will be nice, it'll be hard to step back from the comm (especially since it's been part of my life for three years!)

While it's impossible to know for sure what the future will bring, I honestly don't plan to disappear. In fact, my plan is to use my hiatus to focus my reading on epics -- hopefully I'll be popping in with mountains of super-long fics:)
