The worst thing has always been the waiting.

There’s something about this fic that is as hopeful as it is heartbreaking. Told from Lily’s point-of-view in the afterlife, Still We Wait is a short but poignant look at ‘life’ for those who weren’t left behind after the war but who are still burdened by the affects of it. Still as obviously troubled and flawed as they were in the mortal lives, there's no quick-fix or magic bullet for the characters. They just have to pick-up the pieces like everyone else and work towards a happier ending, one that they thankfully get to build together.
