Fandom: Social Network
Pairing: Mark/Eduardo
Categories: AU, Romance, Fluff, First time, Friendship
Length: Long (~27300 words)
Warnings: N/A
Author on LJ:
jibrailis
Author Website:
jibrailis
Summary:
TSN librarian AU! Where Eduardo is a children's librarian and Mark is an information specialist brought in to revamp the catalogue.
Review:
Here is a great AU merging both one of my favorite fandom aka "The Social Network" and my real life job... As a European librarian I'm almost always disappointed while reading Librarian AU. First because US libraries are not organized like the european ones and I just can't identify with the characters' jobs and then because I know my work well, and any mistakes bother me quite fast.
But Jibrailis neatly sidesteps every issues I could have had here. The professionnal situations rang true and the characters are conform to their new jobs here : Data administrator, Tech support, Kids librarian and so on and so forth while staying very much In character with the initial fandom.
The dialogs are just fun and witty and the interactions between Mark, Eduardo, Dustin and Cie are just great. Jibrailis takes the framework of the movie and transforms it in a new scenario completely in line with this alternate universe...
