Review:
When William, the parapsychologist, sees an octopus in his soup, it’s just the beginning of a pretty amazing adventure.
Okay, so this is a really cute story. The switching of POV feels a bit jarring at times, and the idea of a sub full of angsty men flirting with every other man on board does seem a bit unbelievable, but the plot itself more than makes up for it. This feels like a ‘Who’s Who’ of bandom, so it might be useful to have a cheat-sheet handy.
As per usual I’m kind of deeply in love with both Gerard and Frank in this. Frank is awesome as a vegan chef, and Gerard is totally believable as a teuthologist. Bob, also is fantastic as a security guard, and Mikey freaking out is really entertaining. Honestly, this is one of those fics that pretty much anyone could enjoy for its’ silliness.
