Summary: The first story in the series is summarized pretty nicely by the following quote: "Okay, so, most people would feel pretty screwed right now," David said after a minute, and Archie dropped his head, "but, we won American Idol, and we just survived a plane crash and an avalanche, so I'm thinking our luck's got to be good enough to get out of this." Following the plane crash, Cook and Archie have to hike out of the snow-covered mountains to civilization, relying on each other to make it through. In the sequel, they finally go on the trip to the Grand Canyon they promised themselves during their previous ordeal and realize their romance. Above Water rounds out the trilogy, with a little fluffy humor piece about Cook and Archie having another disaster-ridden trip.

Review: This medium-length series runs the gamut of emotions. The first is a quite thrilling as Cook and Archie fight for survival, while still filled with lots of in-character and humorous dialog. I was on the edge of my seat through most of the story, as they trudge through the snow, huddled together for warmth, and kept each other going with singing and bad jokes. Despite the far-fetched concept, it was well plotted, realistic, and a lot of fun.

The later stories are nice codas with more humor, some romance, and a little bit of crack.
