Review:
There are not many authors who would attempt to do what this author has been doing for the last few years: rewrite the entirety of the Stargate SG-1 universe (and beyond) into a slash-friendly and happy-ending-guaranteed world. While the idea, in and of itself, sounds monstrous and, perhaps, even a little bit daunting to writer and reader alike, I can say with perfect honesty that it's been one of the funniest, most entertaining, and engaging rewrites I've had the pleasure of reading and "participating" in within my whole fandom life.

Beginning at season one episode one of the series, this massive rewrite explores the relationship between Jack and Daniel, starting from post-movie friendship, to lovers, to husbands, to (depending on if you want to go that far) fathers and family. Everything, from trials and tribulations to birthdays and anniversaries, is touched on in this series and given a rose-colored glasses flavor of reality. Even if you’re new to the series, don’t want to have to slog through episode-story upon episode-story, or just feel unequal to reading the universe from the beginning, you can easily jump to any “episode” you wish, reading each story in turn as a stand alone in any order you want.

While Orrymain is still, frequently, updating this universe with new stories and fresh edits, I highly encourage anyone who enjoys this pairing, happy endings, or the Stargate universe to try this out. It’s a fun ride with wonderful characterization and plenty of adventures to keep you occupied, even if you’re just wanting to read a story or two.

Are there any other sites these stories are posted on? The only internet I get is through my phone and it's saying the webpage cannot be displayed. I really want to read these too D:

Orrymain has been slowly but surely uploading the stories here (http://squidge.org/~peja/cgi-bin/viewuser.php?uid=211) on WWOMB. Those are mostly later stories in the universe but should do until you can access the site. :)

It sounds like I can read this without having knowing anything about Stargate.

Would I be correct in this assumption?

not the reccer
but I have started the fic, and I would say, it would help a bit to make sense , if you have seen the movie from 1994 with K.Russel and J. Spader. or at least know overall whats happened in the movie, and how the ending was :)

As long as you have a passing familiarity with Stargate (i.e. at least understand the premise) or know the movie, you shouldn't have a problem reading this, especially if you start at the beginning. Much of what you need to know is rehashed in the episodes. :)

I have just started it, and its kind of wonderful romantic schmoopy vibes already :D
thanks for the rec!

(there is something similar been trying to do that for Smallville, its the corner of the world series, by serafina20, its also rewriting the show to the clex relationship for the first 3 seasons or so... Sadly the author then lost interest in SV as the show just got too bad..
But another author had jumped in, and tried to continue it, littlehollyeaf, and both authors have really done a great job!)

No problem about the rec! It's totally lovey-dovey and wonderful, which is one of the many reasons I love it. :)

I hadn't a clue that someone was attempting this with Smallville but I'm definitely going to check it out. That's one fandom I seem to fall in and out of so maybe this will jump start my Clex meter again. Thanks so much for the links!
