Summary: Lewis and Hathaway, finding each other
Review: They don't really seem to understand how it's happened, but all of a sudden Lewis and Hathaway are kissing, and Hathaway's naked. Lewis is obviously confused, and a little reluctant perhaps, but really - it's sex with James Hathaway, and Lewis is only human after all.
This very short piece, which could fairly be described as PWP, captures the inchoate moment of discovery beautifully. It really doesn't matter what has gone before, only what follows; it's passionate and untidy and full of questions, but one thing is for certain - that they both want it to happen.
The first comment by a reader in response to this story is *breathes again* and that sums up its attraction nicely. You do just sit there and hold your breath waiting for the inevitable; they will kiss, they will make love and - mercifully - they will still stay in character. This is a delicate balancing act, carried off to very good effect by a writer with a solid reputation. As usual, I wish she had written more - but, also as usual, I'm just very glad that she wrote this at all. It's short, and sweet, and hot, and comes highly recommended.
