Review:That’s Why They Call it the Present takes place after Kung-Fu Panda is over. It takes place almost entirely from Tai Lung’s POV. The cast is fleshed out with a large grouping of OC’s who fit right into the screw-ball universe of Kung-Fu Panda. While there is some romance it is kept tasteful and within the realm of the stories plot.

Mostly though the story is about Tai-Lung’s search for redemption and to find his purpose in the world. It is a story that plays out beautifully against the detailed and entrancing world Luna-Goldsun creates.
