Author's Summary: Every now and then I find a fic where something happens to make Ianto immortal, so that he and Jack can stay together forever, and I always think that it’s too easy and I don’t like it. I got to thinking about what might happen instead, and this is what came to me.

Review: The Time Traveller’s Husbandis a very sweet fic about the eventuality of Ianto’s dying. It doesn’t try to gloss over the fact that Jack will be devastated by loosing Ianto, but it finds a way for Jack to survive his grief.

No matter how many times I read this fic I’m always impressed by the Leofuller’s characterizations of Ianto and Jack. It is rare to find such spot on characterizations in a short fic particularly one that follows its characters as they grow older.

The only “problem” if it can be called such, is that this fic was written before Children of Earth and thus doesn’t address any of the personality changes that took place in the third season.
