Review: This is an AU of the episode Adam. In this story the memories Adam placed in Ianto's mind cause brain damage which is made worse by the use of retcon.

AU's of Adam are fairly common but this is one of the few that has stuck with me. Dru and Qualli don't take the easy way out and make this into a 'feel-better' fic. There are permanent consequences to Adam's actions and they are shown in detail. Ianto is heartbreakingly vulnerable and his relationship with both Owen and Jack is affected by it.

Be warned that this is more of a literary piece of fiction that a traditional narrative. The ending is up for interpretation and there isn't a clear theme to the story. The style lends itself well to a story about mental illness, where the main character can't be sure what is really going on, but it takes some getting used to.
