Review:
A 'Blair is the Sentinel' AU -- Jim is recovering from the death of his first sentinel (Jack), when he runs into a young homeless man who just happens to have enhanced senses. Jim takes the young man in and all goes fairly well until they manage to piss off both the local drug cartel *and* Blair's eco-terrorist mom. (Big fans of Naomi might want to steer clear.)

This is one of my favorite fics by LKY, thanks to Sentinel!Blair. He's younger and a bit more self-centered than the canon version, which really works for me, especially since he's going up against a more compassionate, understanding, but still anal (there's only so much the guide genes can do) Jim. As a result of these changes, Jim and Blair's relationship is a lot less fraught -- not to mention way less co-dependent -- than you usually see in Sentinel fic and I can really see them staying together as friends and companions while still having healthy relationships with other people. Just an all around lovely (and thankfully non-smarmy) Sentinel gen fic that makes you walk away feeling good about Jim and Blair and their friendship.
