Review:
Holmes gets some new information that proves that he was (*gasp*) wrong! Specifically that he was wrong about nearly every aspect of the Case of the Speckled Band. Of course, being Holmes, he immediately drags Watson to investigate. Along the way, however, they discover unexpected and disturbing connections to Mary's (Watson's wife) death.

This fic amazes the hell out of me. Not only does Irene do a brilliant job with both Holmes's and Watson's characterizations, but the mystery itself is simply amazing. Intricate, unexpected, and above all *plausible*, this is a mystery story that puts many of Doyle's works to shame.
