I thought I'd end the week with a story to get you in the spirit for the upcoming holiday season. And hopefully to brighten your Friday at the same time:)
Title: A Vermillion to One
Fandom: Keen Eddie
Pairing: Eddie/Monty
Categories: holiday!fic, fluff, humor
Length: medium

Review:
Preparing for his first Christmas in London, Eddie is cranky and exceedingly grinch-like, which is a perfect attitude for his newest case: tracking down the Vermillion Vigilante, a man who gets all dressed up in red and takes down petty criminals. Whee!
I miss Keen Eddie with its humor and quirkiness and hints of slashy subtext, and I have to say that this is the most impressively spot-on KE fic I've ever read. Between the hilarious Miss Moneypenny sex hallucination/fantasy (if you haven't seen the show I can't explain this to you, except to say that it's awesome), to the (sort of) affectionate sniping between Eddie and Fiona, to the friendly ribbing between Eddie and Monty, you have dialogue so sparkling that I wouldn't have been surprised to see it actually on the show. Mix in some Monty backstory and some hints of a budding romance and you have a sure-fire way to put a smile on your face. Happy Holidays!
