Review: Family Ties which is the first fic in the series is a typical long lost son fic. In this case Ryan is actually Horatio's son, who was kidnapped when he was a child. Despite the cliched nature of the plot I found the story very enjoyable. The characters are likable and the story fast moving. I particularly liked how the characters interaction changes over the course of the fic.

Family Tales which is the second fic in the series concentrates more on the difficulties Ryan and his family go through as the wonder of their finding each other wears off. It also draws more heavily on the romantic aspects of the first fic as Ryan and Eric grow closer.
