Review:
Another long, plotty J&W fic (as you might guess, I'm shamelessly doing my best to convert you all to the wonderful world of Wodehouse). This time around, Bertie is helping out a friend who, for reasons that are explained in the story, needs someone to impersonate a writer. Since Bertie's tried something similar before -- and failed miserably, I might add -- Jeeves takes on the role. Which leaves the job of valet to Bertie. Heh.

As I've mentioned in previous recs, Skyblue's one of my favorite J&W authors, and she outdoes herself this fic. Jeeves is brilliant as usual, Bertie's innocence is touching and humorous (Bertie's assumed to be a virgin in many fics, I think, but this is the first one to make it a plot point), and all of the details of the behind-the-scenes life in a large estate feel authentic, even the not-so-subtle jabs by other serverants at what 'endears' Bertie to Jeeves. One of the very best fics in the fandom.
