Review:
Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] epona34 for letting me rec in her normal sandbox this week! :D

I truly enjoy everything about this story. It’s told from Sean Parker’s point of view, chronicling how he falls into an unlikely friendship with Eduardo. The author does an admirable job cultivating and maintaining Parker’s voice throughout the fic. It’s not just how he perceives himself, though that’s well done, but I really enjoyed the way his narrative voice really fits his character. It’s fast paced with long, rambling thoughts, and an answer for everything. He is strongly written with a wonderful mix of bravado, douchebag, and charm.

I love fics that give you the development of friendship between two characters, especially those that have every reason not to get along but end up overcoming their differences. Wardo and Sean’s friendship has its awkward moments and starts and stops but by the end they are a united front and all the stronger for it. They both bring something to the friendship and are a positive influence on each other. Even under the plentiful humor there is an undercurrent of poignancy between Wardo and Sean and their interactions that really captured my attention.

In a fandom full of some great stories, especially rife with terrific fix-it fic, this is a fave of mine that I re-read often.
