RR -- Fluff

  • Aug. 21st, 2007 at 9:49 AM
As folks who read my fic journal have probably guessed, life's been crazy for me lately.  Not bad, just...crazy.  It's making me a little hyper-critical (another reason why I'm having such a tough time finding fic to rec) and a little frustrated and right now I want nothing more than some good old-fashioned fluff.  Something that is fun and entertaining and yet doesn't require me to think at all.  Do you think you have anything like that handy?

Things to keep in mind:
-Recced stories can be any length, any fandom, and any pairing, as long as they fit the theme
-You don't need to write a review (unless you want to).  All that you need to include are title, author, and link to the story (all parts if there are more than one).

That said, have at it!

Today's Topic: Fluff

Previous Topics:
Genres:
-Marriage of Convenience
-Harleqin AUs
-Homeless!fic
-Humor

Fandoms:
-Long Due South AUs
-Crime Procedurals (anyone posting Bones (Boothe/Bones) or Monk (Stottlemeyer/Disher) fic gets a rec in any fandom of their choice, even if I have to acquaint myself with the fandom first)
-Due South fic (F/V would be a bonus, as I haven't read any before)
-The Sentinel

SGA Fluff
Well, it's still on-going, but over at [livejournal.com profile] mcshep_match, they're doing two sides to each challange catigory, Team Angst vs Team Romance. And while of course, Team Angst is Team Angst, Team Romance is very fluff. And very, very good, too. Fluff, in this case, is not just a trivialization. There are even a few long-ish fics, though no epics yet. The good are exelent, and while there have been a few that were not as good as the others, but even those were still very good. And all of them are worth reading for some good escape. (And don't forget to vote!)

Re: SGA Fluff
Oo, that sounds promising. Are there any stories you think are particularly good?

Re: SGA Fluff
Well, in the Team Romance catigory:

the first fic of the battle was cute: Clear Blue Skys (http://community.livejournal.com/mcshep_match/6617.html), classic fluff!

And Catch 19 (http://community.livejournal.com/mcshep_match/7221.html) was exelent! I loved that one, very in chractor and natural.

Up To And Including The Blue Moon Ball (http://community.livejournal.com/mcshep_match/9092.html) was pure fluffy fun.

But if you want a little angst mixed in with yer happy endings, don't count out Team Angst:

Rock, Paper (No Scissors) (http://community.livejournal.com/mcshep_match/7948.html) was very well done.

And the first Team Angst fic of the battle, Acidimia (http://community.livejournal.com/mcshep_match/6754.html), definatly worth the read.

They're posting new ones every day, and looking them over to select some highlights, I noticed I missed a few, so definaty worth go'n 'n reading them all...which I'm gunna do now! Gotta get the ones I missed...not sure how that happend!
