AU for season two. After the car crash, Sam and Dean struggle to deal with their father's death, and make a startling discovery: they have a younger brother, Reese, who's got his own demonic issues.


Review:
Horribly traumatized by very different-than-canon ending to season one, Sam and Dean meet Reese, their heretofore unknown half-brother, and have to confront the demon that has bedeviled their family. Reese, found by John when his mother is killed by the demon, and hidden away in a safehouse, has been on his own for months. I'm not always keen on original characters, let alone long lost relatives, but Reese is well drawn. The early scenes with Reese isolated from other people and stalked by demons are some of the most creepy and horrific I've ever read.

The best thing about this story are the relationships between the three brothers, which the author made complex, variable and believable. The story is divided in sections with the POV of all three brothers, and each is in character and insightful.

Be very mindful of the warnings. This is a sometimes darkly creepy, thrilling, and horrifying story.
