Summary:
An AU for the episode "In the Beginning," starting after Dean has saved his parents and defeated Azazel. Trapped in the 1970s, Dean seeks out Bobby and builds a life as a hunter in the new universe his actions have created, and with Castiel has to make sure the apocalypse stays averted.

Review:
This is a well-plotted time-travel story. I love the concept of the AU, that Dean is unable to return to the present, since his actions have remade the timeline, and he decides to continue to be a hunter and keep saving people.

My favorite parts are the interactions between Dean and younger version of Bobby; they make a great hunting duo and the author writes sections in both POVs so we see Bobby's perspective of this odd, secretive older hunter and Dean's thoughts on the past and what has occurred.

Note that some section breaks are missing in the fanfiction.net version, so occasionally there's an unexpected scene or perspective shift; if this bothers you, you may want to read the better formatted LJ version.
