Gibbs is surprised to discover that while he's still ambivalent about his renewed contact with his father, Tony has struck up a friendship with the man. And when Tony's injured, Jackson comes down from Stillwater to irritate Gibbs ... er, help look after Tony.

This story never fails to make me laugh out loud. Even when I go for stretches of reading it every single day (and there are times I do!), I'm still giggling uncontrollably by the end. The story actually starts out fairly straightforward, with some touching Gibbs concern for his senior field agent, but when Tony comes home from the hospital, a provoking Jackson and a puppy-pile of agents causes Gibbs's plans for a quietly supportive recuperation to devolve into slapstick. It's hilarious to see the usually tougher-than-everyone Gibbs thrown off his stride; plus, I never get tired of the "people have the wrong idea about them (which turns out to be the right idea)" slash trope, and this is one of fandom's funniest examples.
