Summary: Before Shuichi came along, apparently Yuki was very bad at safe sex. Shuichi finds this out, but only when three of Yuki's children show up for Father's Day weekend.

Review: The author pulled this plot off brilliantly. Normally, I'm only a so-so fan of kid!fic - most of these "kids" never act like their supposed age, and are either the perpetual focus of attention (Character X's life would be so much better if he/she only had a kid, see?) or are little more than breathing props that could just as easily be skipped altogether. In this story, though, those problems just aren't there: the kids have personalities and behaviors that perfectly suit their ages and circumstances (I hurt for the eldest daughter, whose bastardhood and blonde hair has made her a target for her peers and the rest of her dysfunctional family).

The Gravitation characters we know are beautifully IC. It takes the entire story for Yuki to warm up to his children, and I'm fairly sure it took Shuichi's prodding his conscience to make him look twice at his performance as a father. By the end, we're treated to a resolution of sorts, as Yuki finally acts to repair, slowly, his relationship with his kids.
