Author's Summary: Harry Potter never escaped Malfoy Manor after being brought there by the snatchers (though Ron, Hermione, and the rest did, taking Draco with them). Without Harry there, the Battle of Hogwarts went quite differently, and now, after several months as Lucius Malfoy's personal pet, Harry's mind, body, and soul are quite different than they were as a schoolboy. He clings to his prophesied purpose, though, and knows he must stay alive to have a chance to fulfill it.

Enemies may seek comfort in each other in their darkest of hour, but when Lucius asks Harry to make the ultimate sacrifice to save the people and the world they love, can Harry trust Lucius enough to keep his end of the bargain?

Although the author gives a fairly happy ending (well, depends on how you look at it), we have to go through torture and gore to get there. However, while this story is indeed very dark, twisted, and not for the faint-hearted, it is also a story about love, trust, and well, we are pretty much willing to do anything if the price is high enough (a.k.a. self sacrifice).

One of the best stories from last year's Harry Potter Dark!fic Fest. Recommended to those who like taking strolls on the dark side.
