Review:
When Chuck decides to "dump" Sarah and begin dating Lou, a sandwich shop owner and daughter to a crime boss, Casey can't bring himself to like the idea and decides to take matters into his own hands and offer Chuck an alternative arrangement.
If you're anything like myself, you came into this fandom a little late. Personally, it wasn't until the last episode of the first season was airing that I actually bothered to start watching it. Boy, was I glad I did. Full of humor and a premise that is equal parts intriguing and ridiculous, it quickly made it to the top of my television viewing. If not just because it gave me a good laugh every week.
Even so, The New Arrangement is one of the less lighthearted fan fictions in the fandom despite keeping with the humorous premise of the series. It does a good job in exploring the reality of Chuck actually have all the NSA and CIA secrets downloaded to his brain, thereby making him the Intersect (i.e. a human super computer), and also with the fact that, should the new Intersect be built, Casey would be ordered to 'terminate' him. Something of which, as you'll find, isn't something that Casey is prepared to do, especially after he and Chuck being their new arrangement. Don't be scared off, however, by all the drama. It's well worth the read.
Note: I've included a link to the sequel, Getting Comfortable, but I'll warn you now that it ends open-ended so that, in the author's own words, the reader can decide what happens next. Use your own judgment to decide if you'll be able to 'deal' with that.
