Author's Summary: How it all began or: Jim Gordon and Bruce Wayne meet for the third time. Author's Notes: Serious-sounding titles; not-so-serious stories. Set in my Jim Gordon/Bruce Wayne fluff-filled 'verse where the only villains are heavy couches and nosy butlers. Frighteningly OOC and completely unbetaed.

Review:
Commissioner Jim Gordon gets sold for ten thousand dollars (for charity, of course) at the bachelor auction. Yet the lady who purchased him never shows up and Jim ends up spending his night with Bruce Wayne (no, not spend the night that way; get your minds out of the gutter). Little does Jim know that his previous night's excursion resembles the beginning of a romantic comedy.

This series of tales details the development of Bruce and Jim's relationship from one-sided friendship (i.e. Bruce "stalking" Jim) to deep mutual affection. While Bruce and Jim are both very likeable and non-angsty, it is Alfred who truly shines in these stories. The words omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient come to mind; okay, maybe a little creepy. I can understand why Jim is more afraid of Alfred than Gotham's master criminals and Batman combined.
