So Tess has left Danny (again) and this time Danny's not really all that broken up about it, which means it's definitely time to pay Rusty a visit to relieve a little...tension. Except that Rusty is inexplicably hard to reach, what with this one job he's doing with Basher. And that other job he's doing with Basher. And that *other* job...well, you get the idea.

In my experience, most Ocean's 11 fic is dense and angsty and pretty depressing. Clearly authors are enamored of the seedy downside of a con's life. I, on the other hand, liked the movies because they were fun and convoluted and entertaining and funny and, frankly, want no part of this angst nonsense unless it is liberally laced with humor and an actual con. The Deal isn't the longest fic in the world (and, yes, it could be longer), but it is a sweet, funny story that will leave you grinning. A perfect way to brighten your day.
