In this wonderful fic, K'Sal explores one of the greatest aspects of Kirk and Spock's relationship: how, despite being so very different (Spock with his logic, Kirk with his hunches), they still manage to complement each other perfectly.

K/S bonding fics tend to get a bit repetitive after a while, but this one has a refreshing take on it (perhaps because it - thankfully - omits drawn-out, simpering declarations of eternal love). Through Starfleet reports and text message communications we get a fascinating take on Vulcan customs and an interesting view on the development of Kirk and Spock's romantic relationship.
