Title: Sweet and Sour
Fandom: CSI Las Vegas
Pairing: Nick/David
Category: light angst, h/c
Length: almost epic
Warnings: post-Grave Danger

Author's Summary: David Hodges knew the old Nick Stokes was in there somewhere. In the meantime, he could make do with what he had. Then things start going right, and that's when the real trouble begins.
Review:
Sweet and Sour features a post-Grave Danger Nick, who escapes his demons and nightmares, and most importantly, his attraction to his recently-married best friend and co-worker Warrick, by sleeping with lots of random guys (and not the same guy twice!). Along comes David Hodges, resident lab rat and sex extraordinaire, and surprisingly enough, Nick sleeps better than he's had in a long time.
It's extremely difficult to find a long Nick/David story (although I feel this pairing makes more sense than the more popular Nick/Greg pairing), let alone a well-written one. Sweet and Sour is a true gem; also, to quote Agent Booth from Bones: the squints!
In this story, Hodges is his usual snarky sarcastic self (it's redundant, I know, but omg, the alliteration), Nick is hurt (mostly from Warrick's marriage) and reserved, both man are insecure and quite clueless. What started as a one-night-stand turns into a casual but continuous thing, and then, boom, something special develops between Nick and Hodges. And having Hodges helps Nick with his problems by tiring him out with sex is just too good to pass. The author has a gift for writing cleaver banter, which makes this story a very enjoyable read even amongst all the angst.
Put Nick and Hodges together. Add sizzling hot sex. Mix well. Let it sit at room temperature for 10 min. Now you have an amazing story to read on a rainy day. Highly recommended.
