Review:
In “Pride and Prejudice” Mr. Darcy is unarguably one of England’s most eligible bachelors, being tall, handsome and very rich. But what would his position in society be if a childhood illness had left him deaf?

In “Of Time Gone By” Bekah does a tremendous job of answering that question. The development of Elizabeth and Darcy’s relationship is interwoven with the reactions Darcy’s disability brings at that time period: from curiosity and pity to fear and disgust. Even though the characters and their reactions to each other are naturally altered due to the different circumstances (Georgiana, for instance, being much more independent and assertive than in the novel), their characterization is not lost. The solid writing and interesting plot make this one of the best fics I’ve found in this fandom.

Ooh.... this sounds very interesting. I'm studying abroad right now, and one of the 5 books I brought with me is Persuasion, so you know I'm an Austen fan :D.
