Review:
Remus and Harry communicate best through letters.
One of the things that always really bothered me in the Harry Potter series was that Harry and Remus never seemed to get enough “screen time” together. At least not enough for me to believe that they had any sort of lasting bond between them, so I’ve always turned to fan fiction to fill that void for me. Told through a series of owl posts, this fic, though short, goes a long way towards doing just that.
Telling in both the things they write to each other and the things they don’t, I really enjoyed the way the author managed to convey so much about Harry, Remus, and their relationship with just a few letters. It made me wish that the entire back-and-forth between them had gone on a bit longer, if only so that they could bond a bit more. In the end, however, this fic was a wonderful read no matter the length and gives a nice glimpse into a relationship not really explored in the original series.
