Food for Thought by Linda3 (PG)

Posting really, really early since, well, I haven't gone to bed yet and I'm thinking at this point I probably should just give up on the idea.

Title: Food for Thought
Fandom: The Sentinel
Pairing: gen
Categories: Angst, h/c
Length: medium
Warnings: n/a

Author on LJ: n/a?

Review:
A couple of weeks after Blair moves in with Jim, he collapses at work. Turns out he's been keeping a few things from his overly-protective Sentinel.

By now I'm sure you all know that I have a soft spot for Completely Lacking In Any Kind Of Common Sense!Blair, and here we have another example of the genre. The writing in the first part of the story (before Blair's collapse) is a bit rough, but once the hurt-comfort part of the story starts it's all good. Though Blair is basically being an idiot, I can't help but want to snuggle him and hug him and then lock him up for his own good, and I bet you'll feel the same way.

You know, I think this will honestly be my first 'Gen' story in the Sentinel fandom. I've read Sentinel for years. How crazy is that? ;)

I just started reading Sentinel gen awhile ago, since (let's face it), J/B friendship is basically slash without the sex. (Heck, *some* Sentinel gen *has* sex. It's called smarm, and I find it very freaky.) You have to be careful (to avoid the smarm), but there's some really good stories out there. Ooo, and if you like this one, check the memories under Sentinel (gen). There's one in there by Arianna that I think you'll like as well.

I definitely enjoyed this one even though I wanted to smack Blair upside the head for being so silly...as if Jim would mind helping him out! I swear, for being as intelligent as he is, he's still an idiot sometimes. A lovable one. *sigh*

I'll have to check out the other story later, definitely. There are certain fandoms that I rarely, if ever, read 'gen' stories. It's kind of refreshing.

I have a kink for 'Blair is an idiot' fic and I think that's better done in Sentinel gen than in Sentinel slash. Oh, Blair.

Thank you totally for fixing the link . I deleted the other link to pull out my email. But thanks.

This is a fun story. God he can be so dumb for such a smart guy.
